Daily makeup must haves

Happy Monday!

Today I have a comprehensive list of my daily makeup must haves. Getting ready in the morning has become an enjoyable part of my day! How can getting ready not be fun with a big cup of coffee and some Adele blaring in the background?

Whether you want to just conceal a few problem areas, get a fresh faced "no makeup makeup look or go all out smokey for a night out, these are my tried and true products I will always have in my collection.

I am definitely one of those people who can sometimes have a 12 hour workday, or just a million plans on a day off. If that's the case, I definitely do everything I can to make my look last all day with primer, setting powder, and setting spray. I think setting spray is my favorite of the three just because it really makes a difference on staying power. If I can look half as good as I looked at 9 a.m. at midnight, that's a miracle in itself!

I have pretty normal combination skin, but it's on the sensitive side and I experience redness. Now that it's winter it's definitely more dry, sadly. I have tried SO many foundations and have really stuck to these because once I purchase a different one I wish I hadn't! ItCosmetics CC cream really just evens out everything looks like you're having a good skin day!

When I'm having those crazy 12 hour days I actually make a foundation cocktail and mix the CC cream and Estee Lauder double wear. It gives me that extra hydration I need for wintertime but is still as long wearing as I need it to be!

As for concealer, even if I plan on wearing no other makeup at all, I always conceal and highlight my under eyes. It just makes me feel so awake, which I definitely need with the amount of all-nighters I have! I've found this combo does not crease which is my biggest issue with concealing and having dry skin. (I do use an eye cream, so stay tuned for my skincare post coming soon!)

What I like most about both ItCosmetics and Exuviance and that they have built in skincare ingredients! I love knowing I'm putting on something that's also good for my skin.

Getting that glow back in your skin once you've evened everything out is BY FAR my favorite part of doing my makeup. On a quick makeup day I'll just use my CC cream,  bronzer and highlight, but if I'm going out... I go all out! I love having two types of bronzers {one with a bit of shimmer, one matte} just to figure out what look I want. The matte bronzer really adds warmth back into your skin, making it look like you were out in the sun, while shimmer adds more of a subtle warmth with more glow.

When I'm picking out blush color I really try and stick to a natural dusty rose color. I usually blend upwards rather than on the apples of my cheeks to add some contour to my face if I'm not planning on full out contouring that day. The Becca highlighter though... that is the star of the show! It took me forever to splurge on it and now I cannot live without it. When I say it looks like you've been kissed by an angel I mean it. Just make sure you have a light hand and blend, it's that intense. I currently have the shade opal which is a light pinky gold champagne color.

We all know contouring has been all the rage, but let me tell you, it really works. Adding a cooler tone shade to your already bronzed skin just adds natural shadow making you have those Adriana Lima cheekbones we all so badly want! Contour kits are great because you're getting a 3-1 product and usually have a how-to guide.

The naked basics palette gives me everything I need: I use the highlight shade for my inner corner and brow bone, light brown for the crease, and darker brown/black for the outer corner. Thanks to Kat Von D and her foolproof liquid liner, I've been able to master the cat eye look! I love how sultry smoked out shadow and a cat eye look on my brown eyes!

When it comes to lashes, the bigger the better. These both have plastic bristle brushes which I think help separate and lengthen while still getting that bold volume. Both formulas are also buildable and don't clump in between coats!

I never thought I'd purchase a beauty blender, but now I cannot live without it. This magical sponge gives you a diffused airbrush finish, gets rid of harsh lines, and makes blending so easy!

Ecotools are such an affordable brand of brushes and they last so well. These all natural fluffy brushes have become a staple in my collection and have kept me from splurging.
