What to wear: Valentine's Day

FashionLucy LopezComment

Valentine's Day is right around the corner. Whether you're hanging out with your girlfriends or your significant other, holidays are always fun to dress up for.

#GALENTINESDAY

When it comes to girls' days, the first thing that comes to mind is going out to lunch. One of our go-to locations is Lloyd's Taco Factory on Hertel Ave. Sipping mojitos, sharing some tricked out nachos, and lots of laughs reminds us that this is just as much a friendship holiday!

Single or not, grab your girlfriends and go out to lunch (or brunch if you can still find reservations). For those of you with someone else to celebrate, tell them you'll be ready for dinner!

What I like most about hanging out with my girlfriends is that all of us have such a distinct personal style. It's so cool to see everyone's personalities shine through their outfits.

#COUPLESGOALS

If you and your S.O. decide to keep things pretty casual and go see a movie and grab a quick bite, layering can really add interest to your outfits.

HERS

Putting a cardigan underneath your jacket and wearing a long sleeve swing dress is a perfect way to stay warm in your dress! Plus putting over the knee socks over tights adds some sass to your winter look. Because it's going to be so cold tomorrow, you could sub the denim jacket for something a bit more weather appropriate. A long coat would dress up this look a little more. Throw on your favorite scarf and you'll be good to go.

HIS

Layering for guys is such a classic look. The plaid shirt I found is actually a lightweight jacket. It gives the same effect as a flannel would and adds extra warmth. With a beanie, this would be perfect for a casual date night look.

I hope everyone has a great Valentine's Day! I can't wait to bundle up and go ice skating. I'll definitely be rocking a beanie, oversized cardigan, and big coat.
