I can honestly say that one of my favorite parts of Halloween is trying to figure out what to do for a costume . My goal is always to only buy one or two accessories if needed. I've always been a do-it-yourself girl when it comes to Halloween. And I promise it's not that hard to be creative! You can do a lot more than you think with just what's in your closet!
70s BOHO CHIC
This year, my new felt hat (that I haven't taken off in about a week) inspired me to be a 70s girl. Basically, all you need to do is pair your summery boho pieces, with a hat or a flower crown, and some boots and you're good to go. I came up with two different outfits for this "costume" and realized, with the 70s trend in stores everywhere, this would be super easy to recreate and wear some of these pieces again. It's also a great way to give your favorite summer dress one last round before you store her away for winter. You'll definitely see my take on this look up on my Instagram tomorrow!
AN ODE TO THE 90s
One of the best decade costumes, in my opinion, is a 90s girl. I didn't do this simple because I'm going to a 90s party soon, but it's so easy! Grab a slip dress and layer a tshirt underneath, choker, flannel and some combat boots or converse and volia- you've got a grunge glam look done in five minutes.
Another super idea is to be a vampire, and let the makeup do the talking. For this just wear all you have to do is wear all black and find some fingerless lace gloves and a pair of fangs from Party City and you're good to go.
