Even though I sometimes miss those high school years of tanning on a beach in Puerto Rico for two months, I have come to adore Buffalo summers. There's always something to do and the weather lately has been perfect.
Between sipping some mimosas and cocktails, and taking advantage of the atmosphere for some good 'ol outfit photos, we had a blast.
Rachel's cocktail pictured is called the "Chenango" made up of Corzo silver, St. Germaine, rosemary & lemon, topped with prosecco. It has the perfect amount of zest for a refreshing summer drink. Fun fact: it's on their happy hour menu!
I think one of my favorite parts about dressing for summer is playing around with accessories, especially sunglasses. When I saw these Karen Walker lookalikes, my heart jolted. I figured why not try out a dupe before I invest, right? That being said, I am dying to try out Ditto, which is a monthly subscription service for designer sunglasses. Basically, you can get a real pair of KWs for $24 a month and switch them out when you want a new pair. They have tons of different designers to choose from.
Rach always knows how to rock statement sunglasses. This famous pair from Quay Australia she picked up at Blush has been a staple in her collection for a while now.
In the summertime, I'm also a huge fan of the shorts and heels combo. You get all the leg without the hassle of a short dress. I'm already tall, so it only makes being tall that much more fun. I always try and find a pair of go-to summer heels and these Nine West ones are definitely it for me. I need to break these bad boys in ASAP.
I'm so obsessed with Rachel's Endless Rose shirt dress from Blush boutique. If you haven't stopped in yet, you definitely need to! She paired it with metallic slip ons to edge up a girly piece.
I've been getting a lot of style inspo from one of my favorite Youtubers Alexandrea Garza. She's been super into the fringe trend, especially with bags, and I wanted to give it a shot! On one of my every-other-day Target runs, I saw this one and had to get it. I love that it doesn't have any hardware so I can pretty much wear it with anything. This stone grey color is probably my favorite neutral.
I wanted to keep the rest of my minimal so I went with one of my favorite tops. It's from Forever 21 ages ago, but I've seen something similar at Free People. I love the handkerchief hem. You've seen these eyelash lace shorts before in my Chicago post, but I literally cannot get enough of them. In this case, I really just wanted something a little more dressy to offset my boho accessories. White denim cut-offs were my second choice.
